THE FUNKTASTICS are a dynamic duo of self taught singers, songwriters, musicians, producers and performers who joined forces to bring the FUNK back to the forefront. Tauros (originally from Detroit, MI) and Barsheem (originally from Brooklyn, NY) formed the duo in Los Angeles in 2005. Since then they have traveled around the US performing songs from their debut and sophomore albums. They built a cult like following with their year long residency at The Stone Bar in Hollywood. A night filled with singing, live instrumentation, dancing girls, crowd participation and wild after parties. Fans have attributed The Funktastics sound to being a DNA mashup of James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson and Prince.  In 2017 they took a hiatus to build their own indie label, 333 Music LLC. In 2020 The Funktastics released a remastered collection of their first 2 albums entitled “Funktastics Forever” along with their 2024 release “Guest List” now available only for download and CD.  They are currently in the studio recording their third album “F3” with the lead single “WildSide” and their trending single “Where’s My Drink?” growing on streaming services and social media. As they rehearse their live set in New York City member Tauros says “The focus now is to get back to the stage so we can do what we do best and that’s give people the funkiest good time possible.”
