THE FUNKTASTICS are an independent funk, soul, and R&B duo dedicated to bringing the spirit of classic funk to a new generation. Comprised of self-taught singers, songwriters, musicians, producers, and performers Tauros (Singer, Songwriter Music Producer and Musician) and Barsheem (Singer, Songwriter and Music Producer), the duo formed in Los Angeles in the early 2000s with a shared vision of creating timeless music that blends vintage soul with a contemporary edge.

Since their formation, The Funktastics have performed across the United States, captivating audiences with music from their acclaimed debut and sophomore releases "Funktastic Party" and "Funktastics In The Sky". Their signature sound has drawn comparisons to legendary artists such as James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, and Prince, while remaining unmistakably their own.

In 2017, the duo launched their independent label, 333 Music LLC, giving them complete creative control over their music and expanding their reach across major streaming platforms. Their 2024 EP, Guest List, featured the standout singles "WildSide" and "Where's My Drink?", further establishing the group's growing fan base.

Later that year, The Funktastics surprised fans with the holiday single "It's Christmas Time," which became their first viral hit on Tik Tok. The song helped the duo build a following of more than 30,000 in only one year of starting an account on the platform, A Tik Tok Music Streamer Of The Year nomination, significantly increasing their streaming audience, merchandise sales, and overall visibility.

Momentum continued into 2026 as the release of their singles "Open Up Your Heart" and "Sweet Tooth" earned radio airplay and garnered multiple Sacramento Urban Music Award nominations and win for "Most Promising Talent of 2026, marking a major milestone in the duo's career.

Building on this success, The Funktastics are preparing to release their highly anticipated third studio album, "F3", in Fall 2026. With an infectious blend of funk, soul, and modern R&B, they continue to prove that authentic musicianship, unforgettable grooves, and independent artistry remain as powerful as ever.
